Hi guys I am about one week through the semester, and getting a bit worried about my course work. I just don’t seem to grasp the stuff I am learning, especially things to do with slope ti 83. Could somebody out there please enlighten me with decimals, adding functions and equation properties. I can’t afford to look for a tutor, but if anyone knows about other ways of learning topics like quadratic formula or graphing effectively, please drop me a line Thanks a lot

I found out a some software programs that are pertinent . I tried them out. The Algebrator appeared to be the best suited one for decimals, ratios and angle complements. It was also effortless to manage. It took me step by step towards the solution rather than only giving the solution. That way I got to learn how to explain the problems too. By the time I was finished, I had learnt how to work out the problems. I found them of use in Remedial Algebra, College Algebra and Algebra 1 which aided me in my algebra classes. May be, this is just the thing for you . Why not try this out?

Thank you, I will try the suggested software. I have never tried any software before , I didn't even know that they exist. But it sure sounds cool! Where did you find the program? I want to get it as soon as possible , so I have time to prepare for the exam.

I remember having difficulties with equivalent fractions, reducing fractions and hyperbolas. Algebrator is a really great piece of math software. I have used it through several math classes - Basic Math, College Algebra and Intermediate algebra. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
