You haven’t provided any information about the problem that is troubling you. I would like to help you with how to review linear equations as it was my favorite topic in math. I also recommend using a really brilliant software called Algebrator. This is the best that I have encountered to help math students. But make sure you use it to learn the subject and not just to copy and submit your homework.

I remember I faced similar problems with parallel lines, solving a triangle and xintercept. This Algebrator is rightly a great piece of math software program. This would simply give step by step solution to any math problem that I copied from homework copy on clicking on Solve. I have been able to use the program through several Remedial Algebra, Remedial Algebra and Pre Algebra. I seriously recommend the program.

I remember having difficulties with logarithms, rational equations and quadratic formula. Algebrator is a really great piece of math software. I have used it through several algebra classes College Algebra, Pre Algebra and Algebra 2. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
