what is a scale in math is my worst problem. Can some one assist me understand it? I am a beginner at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for starting this subject?

I remember having problems with algebra formulas, linear algebra and powers. Algebrator is a truly great piece of math software. I have used it through several math classes - Intermediate algebra, Intermediate algebra and Pre Algebra. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
